Hi, I am Renie. I help leaders de-risk capital portfolios in live operating environments.
I began my career in design and construction delivery, later completing my masters in urban planning, and gradually moved into senior leadership roles across complex capital environments. My pull towards large-scale capital work came early, when I started noticing that most problems on site were rarely design issues. They came from decisions made much earlier, often by people far removed from the work itself.
Over more than two decades, my work has focused on the delivery and governance in both public and private sector, of high-volume retail portfolios, childcare networks, and complex brownfield environments including live industrial and passenger rail precincts, across Australia and the Middle East. Much of this work has been in live operational settings, where regulatory pressure, safety, and commercial outcomes are tightly linked, and where getting it wrong has immediate and visible consequences.
I have worked both on the ground and at decision-making tables.
That experience shapes how I think about risk, sequencing, and long-term asset performance.
I have learned that delivery is rarely the real issue. Most things fail because the thinking wasn’t clear at the start. Scope shifts, risk is pushed down the line, and leaders are left carrying outcomes they didn’t fully choose. I focus on physical capital risk, the kind that doesn’t resolve on paper, and where early decisions determine whether systems remain safe, functional, and commercially viable years later.
Today, I work with leaders who carry responsibility for physical capital, helping them make clearer decisions, sequence risk intelligently, and design delivery systems that support long-term operational and commercial outcomes well beyond handover.
Alongside the technical side of my work, I care deeply about how people lead under pressure. Especially experienced professionals who are carrying a lot, making high-stakes decisions, and trying to do it without burning themselves out in the process.
